Dr. Kerry Frommer Fierstein

Dr. Kerry Frommer Fierstein is Chief Executive Officer of Allied Physicians Group, practicing pediatrician for over 30 years, mother of three and grandmother of one. Her grandson, Aiden, is featured in the Baby Basics series on Alliedphysiciansgroup.com. Dr. Fierstein loves connecting with new parents and supporting them on their parenthood journey. Born in the Bronx and raised in Queens, Dr. Fierstein is a New Yorker all the way. Flushing High School led to New York University, which led to New York Medical College where she met her husband David, the internist. Her residency was completed at North Shore University Hospital – Manhasset. Dr. Fierstein is board-certified in pediatrics and trained in pediatric hypnosis.

Dr. Stewart Samuel

Born and raised in Kentucky, Dr. Stewart Samuel graduated from Indiana University and the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He completed his pediatric training at the Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati and then spent four years in the US Army at FT Knox where he served as Chief of Pediatrics, Medical Director for the Early Intervention Program, and coordinator of services for child abuse victims. His hobbies include basketball, golf, and piano, but mostly he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. Dr. Samuel is Chairperson of the Clinical Technology Committee for Allied Physicians Group.


Dr. Brian Goldstein

A native of Long Island and father of three, Dr. Goldstein received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Boston University. After completing his Pediatric training at Mount Sinai Hospital, he spent three years in the Air Force. Dr.Goldstein has been taking care of Long Island’s children since 1996. He is the Chief Quality Officer of Allied Physicians Group. He truly enjoys serving his community and is on the board of Temple Beth Torah and the Corporate Advisory Board of the Cold Spring Harbor Lab. Golf is a favorite pastime.

Dr. Rosemarie Read

Dr. Rosemarie Read was born and raised on Long Island, and lives just miles from her Cold Spring Harbor upbringing, with her husband Chris and her three beautiful children Makayla, Juliana and Jack. Rose attended Cold Spring Harbor High School and Gettysburg College. She received her Masters in Biology from New York University and her MD from Syracuse Medical School. She completed her pediatric training at Long Island Jewish Schneider Children’s Hospital. Her interests include running, skiing, tennis, scrap booking, photography and travel.

Dr. Maggie Chalson

Dr. Maggie hails from New York, a south shore Long Island girl. She spent her undergraduate days at Tufts University, and then returned home to attend medical school at Stony Brook University. Dr. Maggie completed her pediatrics residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, where she developed a special interest in treating patients with obesity. She currently oversees the Allied Physicians Group Nutrition Program. Dr. Maggie and her husband, Jon, have a beautiful son, Asa. In addition to enjoying time with her “boys,” she loves to spend time at the beach, to cook, and to travel.


Dr. Nancy Jo Lippman

Our Adolescent specialist, Dr. Nancy Jo Lippman sees children of all ages, but has a special interest in adolescents. After graduating from Smith College and Mt. Sinai Medical School, Dr. Lippman did her pediatric residency at New York Hospital, and then studied adolescent medicine an additional two years at Mt. Sinai Hospital. Dr. Lippman is very comfortable offering a wide range of gynecologic services, and her teenage patients are very comfortable with her easy-going manner. Dr. Lippman is married to plastic surgeon, Dr. Ron Israeli. They have three children, their twins Ben and Ella, and Alec.

Dr. Karen Lidoshore-Fuld

Dr. Lidoshore-Fuld was born and raised in Bayside, Queens. She now resides in Long Island with her husband Josh and their 2 wonderful daughters, Madeline and Hailey. Dr. Lidoshore-Fuld earned her Bachelor of Science with Honors in Biological Sciences at Cornell University. Following undergraduate school, she went on to receive her medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Lidoshore-Fuld then completed her Pediatrics Residency at Winthrop University Hospital. She went on to complete a Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship at New York University Langone Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital Regional Perinatal Center. Dr. Lidoshore-Fuld has worked as an attending in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Lenox Hill Hospital – Northwell Health and has served as the director of the Neonatal Developmental Follow-Up Program over the past 8 years. She was named Chief of the Well Baby Nursery in January of 2016. Dr. LidoshoreFuld is Pediatric Board Certified and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Lidoshore-Fuld has always had a strong interest in caring for newborns and in providing support for their families during a very special time in their lives. She is looking forward to bringing her neonatal experience to her new position as well as to expanding her role into the world of pediatrics and adolescent medicine. Dr. Lidoshore-Fuld is excited to work closely with the PHA team and to get to know the children and families of the practice.

Dr. Lena Edelstein

Lena Edelstein is thrilled to be part of the amazing group of physicians and staff at Pediatric Health Associates. Originally a Long Island native, she spent a decade in Philadelphia prior to returning home to Long Island to complete a pediatric residency at Cohen Children’s Medical Center. She attended Haverford College where she majored in Chemistry and minored in physics and developed her love of running on varsity cross country and track teams. After two years of biomedical engineering research, she returned to school and attended the Sidney Kimmel College of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. She has a special interest in Breastfeeding Medicine and lactation care and is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. 

Lena Edelstein and her husband have three children. She is an avid runner, and loves to grow things, try new recipes, and do crafts with her kids!

Dr. Susannah Gemberling

Dr. Susannah Gemberling was born and raised in Huntington where she still lives with her husband and two children, Grace and Will.  After graduating from Princeton University where she studied psychology with a focus in child development, Dr. Gemberling completed her medical degree at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine and pediatric residency training at Good Samaritan Hospital. As a mother of two, Susannah is actively navigating the challenging and fascinating world of childhood and parenting.  Prior to medical school, Dr. Gemberling played professional golf and still enjoys playing with her family.

Dr. Sarah Givner

Dr. Sarah Givner was born and raised in Melville, NY. She attended Dartmouth College where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in French. She completed her medical prerequisites at Goucher College in Towson, Maryland. Dr. Givner continued her graduate medical training at Stony Brook University School of Medicine in Stony Brook, NY. While in medical school, Dr. Givner sought to learn more about the social determinants of health. She completed her master’s degree in public health at Columbia University’s Mailman School, and her residency in Social Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. After residency, Dr. Givner moved to Austin, Texas to be with her now-husband Sam who is a Texas native and UT Austin alum. They have two lovely children, a three-year-old son and a one-year-old daughter. Dr. Givner is excited to be back on the Island exploring her hometown favorites with her favorite people. In her admittedly limited spare time, she enjoys traveling, art-house movies, cooking, and comedy. Dr. Givner will be taking appointments at Pediatric Health Associate starting on December 1st.

Dr. Naomi Levine Zilkha

Dr. Naomi Levine Zilkha was born in the Bronx and raised on Long Island.  She attended Washington University in St. Louis for both college and medical school.  She then returned home, got married and did her residency in pediatrics at Long Island Jewish Schneider Children’s Hospital. After that, Dr. Zilkha was in pediatric private practice on Long Island for nearly 20 years.  In 2015, she began a transition from in-person primary care to pediatric telemedicine.  She has been a pediatric virtualist for the telemedicine company MDLIVE since 2016, and is very excited to now bring her telemedicine expertise to Allied Physicians Group.   Dr. Zilkha and her husband have 2 daughters, Joely and Janna.  In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, organic gardening and ballroom dancing.
