Dr. Kerry Frommer Fierstein
Born in the Bronx and raised in Queens, Dr. Kerry Frommer Fierstein is a New Yorker all the way. Flushing High School led to New York University, which led to New York Medical College where she met her husband David, the internist. Her residency was completed at North Shore University Hospital – Manhasset, and she has been a Long Island pediatrician since 1990. Dr. Fierstein has three children, Dana, Evan and Andrew. Dr. Fierstein oversees the PHA website and facebook page. She is the Chief Medical Officer of Allied Physicians Group.
Dr. Stewart Samuel
Dr. Brian Goldstein
A native of Long Island and father of three, Dr. Goldstein received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Boston University. After completing his Pediatric training at Mount Sinai Hospital, he spent three years in the Air Force. Dr.Goldstein has been taking care of Long Island’s children since 1996. He is the Chief Quality Officer of Allied Physicians Group. He truly enjoys serving his community and is on the board of Temple Beth Torah and the Corporate Advisory Board of the Cold Spring Harbor Lab. Golf is a favorite pastime.
Dr. Rosemarie Read
Dr. Rosemarie Read was born and raised on Long Island, and lives just miles from her Cold Spring Harbor upbringing, with her husband Chris and her three beautiful children Makayla, Juliana and Jack. Rose attended Cold Spring Harbor High School and Gettysburg College. She received her Masters in Biology from New York University and her MD from Syracuse Medical School. She completed her pediatric training at Long Island Jewish Schneider Children’s Hospital. Her interests include running, skiing, tennis, scrap booking, photography and travel.
Dr. Maggie Chalson
Dr. Maggie hails from New York, a south shore Long Island girl. She spent her undergraduate days at Tufts University, and then returned home to attend medical school at Stony Brook University. Dr. Maggie completed her pediatrics residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, where she developed a special interest in treating patients with obesity. She currently oversees the Allied Physicians Group Nutrition Program. Dr. Maggie and her husband, Jon, have a beautiful son, Asa. In addition to enjoying time with her “boys,” she loves to spend time at the beach, to cook, and to travel.
Dr. Nancy Jo Lippman
Our Adolescent specialist, Dr. Nancy Jo Lippman sees children of all ages, but has a special interest in adolescents. After graduating from Smith College and Mt. Sinai Medical School, Dr. Lippman did her pediatric residency at New York Hospital, and then studied adolescent medicine an additional two years at Mt. Sinai Hospital. Dr. Lippman is very comfortable offering a wide range of gynecologic services, and her teenage patients are very comfortable with her easy-going manner. Dr. Lippman is married to plastic surgeon, Dr. Ron Israeli. They have three children, their twins Ben and Ella, and Alec.
Dr. Lori Keschner
Dr. Lori Keschner received both her undergraduate and her medical degree from Tufts. She returned to New York, her home state, for a pediatric residency program at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell Campus. Her impressive residency performance led to a full-time faculty position at Cornell affiliate, St. Barnabas Hospital. In 2004 Dr. Lori moved to Long lsland with her husband, Dr. Mitchell Keschner, orthopedic surgeon, and their children, Zachary, Spencer and Lindsey. Dr Lori likes to ski and play tennis and the piano. She is an avid runner who has completed several marathons.
Dr. Sylvia Arora
Raised in Southern California, Dr. Sylvia Arora graduated from Boston University and Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences at the F. Edward Hébert School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland. She completed her pediatric training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center/National Naval Medical Center which is now known as Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. She spent over 13 years in the US Army which included a combat tour in Iraq. She took numerous leadership and academic positions during her years in the Army and took pride in taking care of service members’ children, which awarded her the Army Outstanding Young Pediatrician of the Year Award, American Academic of Pediatrics Uniformed Service, West Chapter. Dr. Arora moved from Hawaii, her last duty station, with her combat veteran and dermatologist husband, Dr. Navin Arora, to Long Island where he was born and raised. They have three children and two dogs. Dr. Arora’s passion is working with families to achieve physical and mental wellness of the children under her care.
Dr. Karen Lidoshore-Fuld
Dr. Lidoshore-Fuld was born and raised in Bayside, Queens. She now resides in Long Island with her husband Josh and their 2 wonderful daughters, Madeline and Hailey. Dr. Lidoshore-Fuld earned her Bachelor of Science with Honors in Biological Sciences at Cornell University. Following undergraduate school, she went on to receive her medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Lidoshore-Fuld then completed her Pediatrics Residency at Winthrop University Hospital. She went on to complete a Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship at New York University Langone Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital Regional Perinatal Center. Dr. Lidoshore-Fuld has worked as an attending in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Lenox Hill Hospital – Northwell Health and has served as the director of the Neonatal Developmental Follow-Up Program over the past 8 years. She was named Chief of the Well Baby Nursery in January of 2016. Dr. LidoshoreFuld is Pediatric Board Certified and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Lidoshore-Fuld has always had a strong interest in caring for newborns and in providing support for their families during a very special time in their lives. She is looking forward to bringing her neonatal experience to her new position as well as to expanding her role into the world of pediatrics and adolescent medicine. Dr. Lidoshore-Fuld is excited to work closely with the PHA team and to get to know the children and families of the practice.
Nitasha Ali, MS, RN, PNP
Nitasha Ali-Chojnowski is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. A New Yorker at heart, she was raised in Brooklyn and attended New York University for her undergraduate and graduate studies. She Completed her medical education at NYU. Her medical training included various hospital and office settings at NYU Langone Medical Center, North Central Bronx Hospital, Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, NY and here at Pediatric Health Associates to name a few. Prior to joining us, Nitasha was a Pediatric Nurse at NYU Langone Medical Center and a Pediatric ICU/Neonatal ICU/Gastrointestinal Trasplant Nurse at The Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital for 7 years.
Nitasha and her husband, Andrew, expanded their four dog family with an addition of baby girl Lyla born October 2014. They reside in Cold Spring Harbor and enjoy hiking, running, skiing and exotic race cars.
Jeanne Rosser, IBCLC
Jeanne Rosser is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Currently, Jeanne serves as the Clinical Director of Allied Breastfeeding Support, a Division of Allied Pediatrics. She is a La Leche League Leader and Vice President of the Long Island Lactation Consultants Association (LILCA). Jeanne has worked extensively with breastfeeding mothers employed outside the home. One of the her main focuses is assisting working mothers continue to breastfeed and provide human milk for their babies. She is a native New Yorker, who lives in Amityville with her husband, Nick. They have 3 grown children, Caity, Sam & Dylan. Her hobbies include biking, cooking and travel.
Erica Zubalake, PA
Erica is the lead Physician Assistant of Allied’s Nutrition & Wellness Division. Erica obtained her undergraduate Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Marist College, before completing her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury, NY. She has seen patients in New York Hospital of Queens, St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, and NY Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center where she’s enhanced her overall medical knowledge & built up her passion for preventative care. Erica loves to help her patients and their families build healthier lifestyles in a fun and positive way, emphasizing the role nutrition plays in overall health! Erica’s background in medicine, combined with her nutrition knowledge allows her to improve patients overall health in ways such as lowering cholesterol, achieving lower BMIs, eliminating diabetic indicators, enhancing energy levels and much more! She prides herself in being able to create a family-centered, team approach to encourage wellness in a positive way!
